Ames and Iowa State University are one of the premier university-based convention and meeting destinations in the United States. Here in Iowa, we focus on doing the job right – minimal fuss, maximum results. The cornerstone of the Ames and ISU convention and meeting infrastructure is the multi-faceted Iowa State Center. Surrounded by acres of convenient parking, the Iowa State Center facilities include:

  • C. Y. Stephens Auditorium, an award-winning performing arts theater for 2700
  • Hilton Coliseum-flexible space that can host events, dinners, conferences and competitions with seating for 14,500
  • Scheman Building- 25 meeting rooms, a 456-seat auditorium and full-service on-site catering services.
  • Fisher Theater, an intimate theater for 450

The extensive facilities of the Iowa State Center are only one aspect of the Iowa State University campus. The campus has grabbed attention by being considered one of the 25 most beautiful in the United States and is one of only three to make the American Society of Landscape Architect’s centennial listing of “Medallion Site.
